Andy Celcherts
man standing in front of the Brooklyn sealAndy, a 1973 graduate of Brooklyn High School, went on to Cleveland State University to earn a B.A. in Business. Upon graduation he worked for the Ohio Department of Taxation from 1977 to 2008 when he retired to be a care giver to his parents. Andy is has been the Board Chair for the Latvian Cleveland Credit Union as well as serving as the treasurer for the Friends of the Brooklyn Library and is also a member of the Brooklyn Historical Society. While on Brooklyn City Council from 2014 and 2015 he served on the Finance Committee, was School Board Liaison, and was also chair of the public works committee where he developed a 5-year residential street revitalization plan resulting in 11% savings in tax dollars. Andy is also currently involved with the Fall Festival Committee, Safe Routes to School Committee, Superintendent’s Advisory Council, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Volunteer for Campus Life.
Kathleen Pucci 
Kathleen has been in office since January 1, 1998 and is currently serving her fourth term. She brings knowledge and experience from a diversified business background to her roll on City Council.

Kathleen has a long history of civic involvement and dedication to our community. Prior to being elected to City Council, she served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for five years, three of them as chairperson, on the Veterans Memorial Park Redevelopment Committee, and as Secretary of the Brooklyn Community Preschool/Childcare Committee. Kathleen was also an officer and on the Executive Board of the Brooklyn Early Childhood PTA.

In addition to serving on and chairing all council committees, Kathleen has served on numerous working committees that examined issues and developed plans to ensure that Brooklyn remains a vibrant community. Kathleen has also dedicated her own time to learn all she can about municipal operations and finances including attending the Elected Officials Academy at Kent State University.

Kathleen and her husband Frank have been married for twenty-eight years and are the proud parents of three sons: Frank is a neurosurgical resident at Rhode Island Hospital, Michael, a recent graduate of Georgetown University, is working for a law firm in New York City, and Kevin is a junior in high school.

Meg Ryan Shockey
man and woman sitting outside with dogMeg was appointed and sworn into City Council on January 8, 2018. Meg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from BGSU, and a Masters degree in Urban Planning, Design, and Development from CSU.

Meg's full-time job is at the Cleveland Teachers Union, where she is an Executive Assistant to the President. In this position, Meg has helped develop and implement a master communication plan and organize community-based meetings. She looks forward to bringing this experience to the Brooklyn community.

Meg also looks forward to utilizing her Urban Planning background to benefit Brooklyn. She has continued her studies in this subject through attending conferences, including Ohio American Planning Association, Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio (COHHIO), and the Cleveland Planning & Zoning conference over the years. She wants to bring this knowledge forward in our community to increase resident involvement in moving Brooklyn towards a strong future.
