Kevin has served on Brooklyn City Council since 2010. He currently serves as the Chair of the Recreation Board, where he was instrumental in launching the Silver Sneakers Program, which continues to bring in tax dollars to our city. He is currently Chair of the Sustainability Committee where he initiated and proposed a 37-acre solar farm. This provides a source of energy for county buildings serving our community and generates revenue to the city through lease of the property.
Kevin is employed in the public sector within the transportation division. He also has worked in the private sector working in the Air Freight industry. He also served in the capacity as a Trustee on the Executive Board and as a Business Agent. He has attended classes for labor relations and negotiations at Cleveland State University and his experience in both the private and public sector has provided him extensive knowledge of the labor work force field. His versatile background and his diligent work ethic, along with his determination to push for all negotiations to be done in-house has saved tax dollars and is a very cost- effective measure for our city. In all these aspects, Kevin has been very active on saving tax dollars and generating revenue for our city.
He is currently a member of the Public Works committee and volunteers with the Keep Brooklyn Beautiful program.
Kevin is married to Gina and they have a son, Brandon who is a proud 2020 graduate of Brooklyn High School.
