The Brookpark Road Rehabilitation Project will begin Monday, April 3, 2023.
This project includes asphalt resurfacing and pavement base repair along approximately 5 miles of Brookpark Road from West 130th Street to the I-480 eastbound ramps in the Village of Brooklyn Heights, City of Brooklyn, City of Cleveland, and the City of Parma. Improvement also include installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, casting adjustments, and new pavement markings for the length of the corridor.
The project will be split into 5 sections with multiple phases to complete the work safely while maintaining traffic in each direction. The dates and phasing listed below are subject to change.
2023 Construction Season
• Section 1: Work will begin at W. 130th to East of the CSX rail crossing starting April 3 until the end of May, 2023.
Phase 1 – Work in Center lane while maintaining two lanes in each direction
Phase 2- Work in curb lanes while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.
• Section 2: Work will begin East of the CSX rail crossing to Big Creek Parkway starting the week of May 15 until the end of August 2023.
Phase 1 – Work in Northern portion of Brookpark Rd. (WB lanes) while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.
Phase 2 – Work in Southern portion of Brookpark Rd. (EB lanes) while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.
Phase 3 – Work in the center portion of Brookpark Rd. while maintain two lanes in each direction.
• Section 3: Work will begin at Big Creek Parkway to East of State Rd starting at the end of August until mid-November 2023. This is subject to change based on the Ridge Road Project and other Coordination in the Ridge Road /Brookpark intersection corridor.

Phase 2 – Work in Southern portion of Brookpark Rd. (EB lanes) while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.

2024 Construction Season-start dates will be forthcoming
• Section 4: Work will begin East of State Rd. to East of the SR 176 Ramps.
Phase 1 – Work in Northern portion of Brookpark Rd. (WB lanes) while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.
Phase 2 – Work in Southern portion of Brookpark Rd. (EB lanes) while maintaining one lane in each direction and center turn lane.
Phase 3 – Work in the center portion of Brookpark Rd. while maintaining two lanes in each direction.
• Section 5: Work will begin East of the SR 176 Ramps to the Eastern Project Limits.
